AVAILABLE AT STUD

Our boys are only at stud to help share genetic material within the breed fancy to ensure the long-term viability and improvement of the entire Border Collie gene pool. This is NOT a money-making venture for us, and if that is your goal, our studs are not what you are looking for. We get a massive amount of inquiries from BYB, unregistered, unhealth tested bitch owners. We do not provide stud services to the general public or to bitches who have not been health tested, shown, proven or have any merits for the Border Collie breed.  We do not offer them just to make a bunch of puppies to sell, or to produce less common colours in our breed.

Our boys are available at stud only a limited number of times; we always want to prevent one sire from being overused. Bitches are required to be sound-tempered, sound-structured, have passing health scores for hips, elbows, and eyes (within 12 months), and have been DNA health panel tested. 

BASIC STUD TERMS: 

  1. We trust the bitch owners we work with to find responsible, loving pet homes for the pet pups in the litter at their discretion. 
  2. All puppies produced by our studs must be sold on AKC limited registration and be sold on a spayed/neuter contract, UNLESS *THE NEW HOME* is approved otherwise by all stud owners.  
  3. The particular puppy the bitch owner decides to send to a show home that we have approved of is at the bitch owner's discretion. Please acknowledge that these pups represent your kennel, our kennel, the stud dog, and the entire pedigree of breeders who have worked hard on the lines. Please choose wisely. We do not endorse putting a whole litter into show homes. We have the IMPROVEMENT of the breed at the forefront of all decisions! 
  4. No puppy shall be exported outside of the country where the litter was whelped (born) unless approved by all stud owners in writing. 

We require a stud contract signed and reserve the right to add and remove terms depending on the experience level of the bitch owner to ensure the safety of the lines, the best interests of our studs reputation, and for the best interest of the breed.

Please note the boys are located all over the world, we often have frozen semen or will eventually, most of our available frozen semen is stored at Companion Animal Clinic of Gainesville PC, located in Gainesville, Virginia (USA).
